fire and rain

1. a thousand oceans

  • lionel #1

    2. lady picture show

  • lillian and pamela

    3. one of these days

  • lionel #2

    4. someone to die for

  • porsche

    5. echoes

  • future clark

Hopefully, this will still make sense tomorrow.

Notes for (2) ~ check to see if the darling darkling's mum's name really is lillian, or if I'm just pulling that out of my ass.

Notes for (3) ~ as the lyrics for one of these days run something like "one of these days I'm going to cut you into little pieces", I think that it would be an appropriate accompaniment to lex and lionel's falling out.

Notes for (4) ~ perhaps not the porsche scene? "don't you have someone you'd die for?" I don't know ... maybe Miss Hard Wick can have this installment. for is she someone to die for? definitely not. angst and bitterness abound ...

Notes for (5) ~ just what it says, future clark. "so I throw the windows wide/and call to you across the sky ..." - it's just so lovely and evocative, I think. the full text of the song requires a closer reading, though.

Just as long as no one figures out that I ripped off the titles (all but echoes) from Sluggy ... well, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, is it not?
